The Limestone represents PUP, Delegates secure major wins at OSSEI National Conference 2026

The Limestone, the official student publication of the PUP College of Education, actively participated in the OSSEI National Conference on Campus Journalism and the 20th Writing Competition 2026, held from March 23-25 at the Crown Legacy Hotel, Baguio City. Organized by the Organization of Student Services Educators, Inc., the event gathered campus journalists nationwide for lectures, training sessions, and competitions.
Three Limestone writers and editorial board members: Louwie Mantilla (Sports Writer), John Lester De Leon (Associate Editor), and Sebastian Ahlem De Guzman (Managing Editor), participated in a three-day workshop alongside delegates from The Catalyst, PUP Campus Journalists (PUPCJs), and The Communicator. They competed in various writing categories, including news, editorial, feature, sports opinion, editorial cartooning, and multimedia journalism presentation.
Among the PUP delegates, Mantilla ranked third on the podium in Sports Opinion Writing, De Leon secured fifth place in Feature Writing, while PUP Campus Journalists (PUPCJs) Deputy News Editor Kier James Hernandez received an honorable mention in News Reporting.
