Established in 2012, The Limestone serves as the official student publication of the College of Education (CoEd). The journal was originally known as "The Key," a title that represented its legacy during the institutional era of the College of Office, Administration, and Business Teacher Education (COABTE). Following the formal renaming of the college to the College of Education, the editorial board recognized the necessity for a symbolic rebranding. The adoption of The Limestone reflects the foundational role of education in society, representing the enduring and solid base upon which pedagogical knowledge is constructed.
Beyond its role as a news outlet, The Limestone functions as a vital historical record and a platform for academic and social advocacy. We serve the CoEd community by facilitating transparent communication between the administration and the student body. Our publication provides a scholarly environment where future educators can refine their critical thinking, exercise creative expression, and engage with the socio-political issues that influence the modern classroom.
