PUP College of Education Achieves Notable Success in Librarians’ Licensure Exam

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) College of Education has garnered attention for its performance in the September 2025 Computer-Based Librarians Licensure Examination, securing an overall passing rate of 80.77%. This achievement places the institution 9th among the Top Performing Schools, reinforcing its reputation in the area of library science education.
The results reflect not only the commitment of the registered librarians but also the quality of instruction provided by the faculty members of the College of Education. It also underscores PUP’s standing as a leading institution in producing competent and skilled librarians.
Among this year’s graduates, Kyla Marie S. Cachila has distinguished herself by ranking 10th in the examination, with a remarkable passing rate of 88.45%. Her achievement stands as a beacon of excellence, showcasing the individual talent and dedication present in PUP’s library science program.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the board for Librarians administered the September 2025 licensure examination in various testing centers nationwide through a computer-based format.
The shift to a digital examination system highlights the move toward modernizing professional assessments, promoting greater efficiency and accessibility for examinees nationwide.
With its strong showing, PUP continues to be recognized among the institutions consistently producing board passers in library science. The latest performance adds to the university’s record of producing licensed professionals who contribute to the academic, research, and information management sectors in the Philippines.
